The Aalto University Töölö Campus Library mobile services
Services are available for customers of Finnish operators Sonera, Elisa, DNA and Telia. Send all text messages to the number 16579.
This manual contains instructions for using the Aalto University Töölö Campus Library mobile services.

Registering for the HSE library mobile services
Send message: HSEREG pincode librarycardnumber surname
for example. HSEREG p12345 2240000101 Jackson
Description:
The service requires a registration. After registering you can use the service through short text messages. A new registration from another phone erases the previous registration.
PIN code is a personal "password" that protects your privacy by preventing access to patron information without a personal code. If you haven't changed your PIN e.g. on self-service renewals site, your PIN is p12345 (Note: lowercase p-letter in the beginning).

Changing the PIN code
Send message: HSEPIN oldpincode newpincode,

Description:
You can change your personal PIN code. All customers have the same default PIN: p12345. It is strongly recommended to change the PIN code as soon as possible.

Reminder notices for materials that will be due within a few days and Notice slips for reservations
Send message: TILAA KAUPPISILMO
Description:
You will be automatically notified through a text message for books that will be due within a couple of days and also when books reserved by you have arrived in the library.
PLEASE NOTE: Reminder is a push-service, that is, you don’t need to order each message separately. You just once send a check message by replying to the message sent by the system.

Closing the reminder service
Send message: LOPETA KAUPPISILMO
Description:
Automatic reminder notices as described above will be switched off.

Renewal of borrowed materials.
Send message: HSERENEW
Description:
All your borrowed items will be renewed. The message you'll receive will tell whether all your loans actually could be renewed or not. If not, you will be informed on how many renewals were unsuccessful. At the end of the message there is a list of the next due dates.

Checking availability of books
Send message: HSEISBN ISBNNUMBER
(for example. HSEISBN 0198775776)
Description:
You can check book availability. The ISBN number is given as identification for books. For example, you can find book ISBNs from your course or study guide.

List of your loans
Send message: HSELOANS
Description:
You will get a message listing the loans that will be due first. Information on lended items contain due date, author and beginning of the title.

The HSE library opening hours
Send message: HSEOPEN
Description:
You will get current opening hours of the HSE library

Feedback to the library
Send message: HSEFEEDBACK your feedback
For example:
HSEFEEDBACK keep on doing good work!
Description:
You can use this service for sending feedback to the Helsinki School of Economics Library.

Informing or updating the email address
Send message: HSEEMAIL librarycardnumber emailaddress,

Description:
Through this message you can inform the library about your email address. The library sends availability notices and reminders by email. Please note: Your email address will not be given to any third party and it is used for library notices only.

Switching off the mobile services
Send message: HSECLOSE
Description:
Switches off the previous service registration through the message HSEREG. Registering from a new subscriber connection also switches off the previous registration.
Pricing:
- Messages sent by customer: 0,32 € / each (incl. the price of a reply message).
- Messages received by customer, e.g. reminder notices for reservations, 0,24 € / each.
